The Archer

my heart is steady

my aim is true

I come for you

a ghost in the mist

as my eyes behold you

I release silent death

my arrow finds you

a gift from me

a quick end for you

the last thing you see

the flash of sun on steel

I take your hopes

your dreams

your memories

your love

your life

all that you are

spills into the dirt

fading away

like smoke in the wind

I move on to another

my quiver is full

many lives to take

before the sun sets

      • Lol we’re not actual twins, I’m French and he’s American for a start πŸ˜‰
It’s just what Matt nicknamed me when we started talking…I believe he said I was his “evil twin” actually…and it kind of stuck. I’ve written with him in the past and we have had some similar life experiences, if I can put it that way.
I guess I didn’t realise my comment was misleading earlier lol
Matt is a terrific writer though, and I love your work as well – the darkness has always appealed πŸ™‚
